FAQ — Sworn Legal Translation for UK Clients
Yes. Certified translations by a Polish sworn translator (TP/122/24) are accepted by UK Visas and Immigration for all visa categories — spouse visas, skilled worker visas, family reunion, ILR and naturalisation.
A sworn translator is legally authorised by the Minister of Justice under the Act of 25 November 2004 to issue translations with full legal validity — stamped, signed and entered into a statutory repertory. This exceeds a general ‘certified translation’, which in many countries simply means a translator has signed a statement.
In most cases yes. UKVI and most UK courts and tribunals accept certified translations as electronic documents with a qualified electronic signature. The eIDAS-compliant PDF is legally equivalent to the stamped format.
Standard documents (1–3 pages) are typically completed within one to two working days. Urgent requests are accommodated where possible — please state any UKVI or court deadline when making contact.
An Apostille is placed on the original Polish document (not the translation) by Polish authorities under the Hague Convention. UKVI does not require an Apostille for most immigration applications. Guidance is provided on a case-by-case basis.
Certified legal translation for UK clients — UKVI, NARIC, courts, solicitors and regulated professions. Instant eIDAS delivery to any UK address.
